USA Water Ski & Wake Sports recently launched a new membership registration system for individuals and clubs.

Individuals should have received an email with directions on how to reset your password to access the new Members Only area. You can also reset your password by clicking on the “lost password” feature on the new login page.

Club contacts should have received an email with directions on how to reset your Club password to access the new Club Members Only area. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk/spam folder. You can also reset your password by clicking on the “lost password” feature on the Club Members new login page.

Information For Individual/Family Memberships

For family memberships, the head of household will receive an email to reset the password for each member of the family (spouse and dependents) as each member has a separate membership record (and unique membership number).

Please update the information in the “My Profile” area including your club affiliation, Sport Discipline preference, address, phone number and email address in addition to your demographic information.

During the migration from our old system to the new one, only a limited amount of membership data was moved.  Don’t be alarmed if you are a longtime member but only see data from the last three years in your Membership History tab.

There will be no increase in base membership fees for 2022. Membership fees have stayed the same for the last two years even with rising organizational expenses, including technology and insurance costs. You will notice a small 3% technology/processing fee on each transaction within the new system. This was approved by the USA-WSWS board of directors last year to help cover the costs of implementing a new registration, event management and learning management system.

An important change you need to be aware of within the new system is your membership status. This chart explains each of the new membership status types. You will see this displayed in the Membership Status box on your dashboard within My Profile – Membership Information.

Safe Sport & Background Screen Status

You will also notice a status in your individual membership dashboard for SafeSport training and background screen. Please note that the background screen status only applies to a select group of members such as National Teams, coaches/instructors, junior development leaders, show ski directors and assistant directors, select officials and board members.

The three statuses for SafeSport training are Expired, Not Started or In Progress. Click here to complete SafeSport training for the first time or click here take the annual refresher course.

For background screens, the statuses are either Completed or Pending.  If your membership activity does not require a background screen or you have not yet completed the screen, your status will show as Pending.

We understand there are many changes happening at once, and sometimes change can be difficult. We are confident these improvements will enhance your overall membership experience with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.

If you have any questions regarding the new membership system or membership statuses, please email memberservices@usawaterski.org.

Information For Club Memberships

Please update all information within your club profile and update your club officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) in addition to any junior development leadership, Safe Sport coordinators and Show Directors and Assistant Show Directors (if applicable). It is important that you add all your club officers into the new system.

NEW - If you plan to sanction practices or exhibitions in 2022, you must Purchase Practice/Exhibition Sanctioning for $50. This was approved by the board of directors in January 2020, but implementation was delayed until now. Clubs will no longer have to sanction specific practice or exhibition dates/times. Once purchased and the agreement electronically executed, all practices are considered sanctioned if the proper criteria is met.
