Show Skiing - Team Development Program

National Show Ski Association

Is your team a developing show ski team that aspires to become a sustainable organization that will grow, improve and eventually compete, or one that has been out of competition for several years? If this is aligned with the goals you have set for your show ski team, then the National Show Ski Association has a special team development grant program available for you.

This unique opportunity provides grant funding and educational instruction covering all aspects of team governance, show development and skill enhancement. The NSSA's Team Development Committee selects one team each year. We want you to be able to take advantage of this program, which is led by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable names in our sport. But to be considered you need to apply.

To be considered for this grant, please provide the following information:

1. Team Goals – Short term (next 1-2 years) and long term (3-5 years)

2. Does your team plan on competing at a regional competition in the next 3 years?

3. If selected, would your team send 2-4 members to Think Tank?

4. What does your team need to grow and be successful?

5. Is your team interested in educational instruction, specifically in the areas of governance, show development, skill enhancement, or some other area? Describe in detail what support your team is interested in receiving.

In order to qualify, teams must be current USA Water Ski & Wake Sports members under NSSA, both the team and individuals.

If selected, the team may bring members to Think Tank. NSSA will pay for hotel rooms, Think Tank registration fees, and the Saturday night banquet (for up to 4 people).

Please submit your application to Wendy Petzold, NSSA Team Development Committee chairperson, to

wendy@gracefulwakes.com with Team Development in the subject line. If you have any questions, contact Wendy at (414) 322-2775.
