JOB TITLE: Member & Competition Services Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director, Member & Competition Services
POSITION LOCATION: Remote/Hybrid Remote (Central Florida preferred)
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is affiliated with the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (world governing body) and is recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee and Pan-American Sports Organization as the national governing body of organized water skiing and wakeboarding in the United States. The mission of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is to advance, support and service all towed water sports through widespread recreational participation, education, promotion and sustained worldwide competitive excellence.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Member & Competition Services Coordinator is primarily responsible for all aspects of customer/member service, sanctioning and insurance requirements, and compliance efforts related to key stakeholders, including the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the U.S Center for SafeSport. This position deals directly with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports (USA-WSWS) members, clubs, camps/ski schools, and sport discipline leadership throughout the country and assists them with problems, questions or concerns involving their membership and provides support to multiple areas of the headquarters operation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Primary point of contact for answering phone calls and monitoring member and compliance mailboxes regarding member registrations/renewals, compliance, SafeSport training, insurance, sanctioning, and general competition
- Distribute incoming faxes and general mailbox voicemails
- Assist member clubs with sanctioning and registration for Basic Skills and Get on the Water (GOTW) clinics
- Creation and fulfillment of certificates of insurance (COI) purchased by member clubs
- Coordinate with merchandise vendor on fulfillment and tracking of member merchandise orders received through the member join and renewal process
- Maintain member groups and ensure annual background screens, SafeSport training, BoardSpan training, code of conduct and conflict of interest forms are completed by the USA-WSWS Board of Directors, Sport Discipline boards, committees and staff members
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior customer service experience and/or experience as an intern or fulltime position with a sports or nonprofit membership organization a plus
- Knowledge of the sport of water skiing a plus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills, including Office 365 suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to create efficient and effective solutions
- Ability to take initiative and work remotely
