U.S. Rider Cartwright Earns Silver Medal At IWWF Wakeboard World Championships

U.S. wakeboard athlete Dayle Cartwright (Naples, Fla.) earned the silver medal in Over 50 Men at the 15th IWWF World Wakeboard Championships, Oct. 23-27, at Xiang Lake in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang, China.

Cartwright scored 67.45 points in the finals to earn the silver medal. France's Daniel Duquesnoy won the gold (90.67 points) and Germany's Andre Borngraber earned the bronze (63.44 points).

The United States also was represented by Kitt Smith (Orlando, Fla.), Open Women; and Benjamin Sinvany (New York, N.Y.), Over 30 Men. Neither athlete advanced to the finals in their respective divisions.

Italy won the team gold medal, followed by Australia and Japan. The United States placed 10th.
