Midwest Region Wins 42nd Collegiate All-Stars

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association’s Midwest Region won the coveted team title at the 42nd Collegiate All-Stars Water Ski Championships, May 18-19, at Lake Pryor in McDonald, Tenn. The two-day event included the top-10 men and top-10 women from each of the NCWSA's four regions vying for the regional team title and individual titles in slalom, tricks, jumping and overall.


The Midwest Region tallied 12,405 points, followed by the Southern & Atlantic Coastal Region (9,850 points), Western Region (7,760 points) and South Central Region (3,115 points).


Individual event winners were: Alabama’s Carter Reese (Mooresville, N.C.), men’s slalom (2 buoys at 38 feet off); Alabama’s Emma Goldstein (Tuscaloosa, Ala.), women’s slalom (2 buoys at 35 feet off); Alabama’s Will Blair (Mooresville, N.C.), men’s tricks (3,780 points); Minnesota’s Sophia Janzig (Center City, Minn.), women’s tricks (2,700 points); Louisiana-Monroe’s Stefan Piatrenka (IWWF), men’s jumping (147 feet); Alabama’s Samantha Hill (Morris, Conn.), women’s jumping (101 feet); Arizona State’s Carter Eaton (Anchorage, Alaska), 970.0 points; and Alabama’s Brooke Boskus (Elkins, Ark.), women’s overall (870.0 points).
