Allie Nicholson Wins K1000 Marrakech Pro

Allie Nicholson (Gallatin, Tenn.) won the women’s slalom title on Thursday at the K1000 Marrakech Pro at the Jbilet Mountains Water Sports Complex in Marrakech, Morocco. Some of the world’s top men’s and women’s professional slalom skiers competed for respective titles and cash prizes. Both days of action featured a live webcast.


Nicholson scored 4 buoys at 39-1/2 feet off in the finals to clinch the title over Canada’s Jaimee Bull, the two-time defending world slalom champion (3 at 39-1/2 off). Elizabeth Montavon (Lake Worth, Fla.) placed third (2 at 39-1/2 off).


Great Britain’s Will Asher won the men’s slalom title (1 at 43 off), followed by Italy’s Brando Caruso (3-1/2 at 41 off) and France’s Sacha Descuns (3 at 41 off).
