Women’s Certification Program Welcomes New Officials
by USA Water Ski & Wake Sports
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce it has certified dozens of new female officials this summer thanks to its partnership with MasterCraft’s Let Her Rip campaign.
Forty-two percent (42%) of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports members are women. However, only 17% of certified drivers are women, 31% of level 1 instructors are women, and 33% of certified safety officials are women. To increase these numbers and inspire more women to become certified officials, USA Water Ski & Wake Sports teamed up with MasterCraft's Let Her Rip campaign. Let Her Rip is about empowering confidence in women both in and behind the boat and on and off the water.
Through this partnership, active female members of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports were able to train and certify as USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Trained Drivers, NSSA Class A Learners Permit, Level 1 Instructors, Adaptive Instructors and/or Safety Coordinators for free. Through the program, MasterCraft covered fees for the courses as well as costs of background screening and MVR reviews.
The Women's Certification Program trained 18 Level 1 Instructors, 5 Adaptive Instructors, 13 Trained Drivers, 2 NSSA Class A Learners Permit, and 22 Safety Coordinators. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is grateful to MasterCraft for its support.
