U.S. Elite Water Ski Team Set To Take On The World

The 38th IWWF World Waterski Championships will be held Oct. 10-15 at Sunset Lakes in Groveland, Fla. The biennial tournament will feature a live webcast all six days.

The United States will be represented by a six-member team and several independents. Members of the 2023 U.S. Elite Water Ski Team are: Anna Gay (Winter Garden, Fla.), Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.), Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.), Freddy Krueger (Winter Garden, Fla.), Erika Lang (Gilbert, Ariz.) and Nate Smith (McCordsville, Ind.). Lori Krueger (Martindale, Texas) is the coach.

The Ski Nautique will be the official towboat of the 38th IWWF Water Ski World Championships. Nautique is a National Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.

The U.S. Elite Water Ski Team earned the overall team bronze medal and seven U.S. water ski athletes won individual medals in respective events at the 37th Water Ski World Championships, Oct. 11-17, 2021, in Groveland, Fla. Canada won the gold medal and Great Britain earned the silver. The United States is seeking to win its 28th world team title.

The Ski Nautique will be the official towboat of the 38th IWWF Water Ski World Championships. Nautique is a National Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.
