2023 U.S. U21 Water Ski Team Selected

Blaze Grubbs was one of six athletes selected to the 2023 U.S. U21 Water ski Teams.
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is pleased to announce the selection of the 2023 U.S. U21 Water Ski Team. The six-member team, selected by the American Water Ski Association’s International Activities Committee, will compete in the 11th IWWF U21 Water Ski World Championships, June 14-17, at Boca Laguna in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico.
Athletes that have been selected to the 2023 U.S. U21 Water Ski Team are (alphabetical order): Jake Abelson (Holderness, N.H.), Alexia Abelson (Holderness, N.H.), Blaze Grubbs (Rio Linda, Calif.), Kennedy Hansen (Milton, Fla.), William Roberts (Dow, Ill.) and Annemarie Wroblewski (Toledo, Ohio).
April Coble-Eller (Lillington, N.C.) will serve as the coach, Erin Kalkbrenner (Maize, Kan.) will be the manager, and Mary Beth Wroblewski, M.D. (Toledo, Ohio), will be the team physician.
The Ski Nautique will be the official towboat of the IWWF U21 Water Ski World Championships. Nautique is a National Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports.
The U.S. U21 Water Ski Team won the coveted overall team gold medal and four U.S. team members combined to earn eight individual medals in respective events at the 10th IWWF World Under 21 Waterski Championships, Aug. 26-28, 2021, at the Pickos Water Ski School in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
