Britt Hoyland joined USA Water Ski in January 2013 as the Competition & Events Coordinator. Britt is the primary staff liaison with club programs, sanctioning and events. Britt works with our national tournament organizers and supports the creation and delivery of programs for encouraging the development of all water sports under the USA Water Ski umbrella.
Always surrounded by the water, Britt grew up in Wilmington, N.C., and earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. She spent four years working as Contest Director and Special Events Coordinator for the surfing industry. During her time with the Florida Surfing Association and United States Surfing Federation, Britt directed both professional and amateur surfing championships and initiated various non-profit surfing programs throughout the east coast. She has extensive experience working with organizations such as the Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior Project, Boys and Girls Club, and Family Circle Cup.
In 2012 Britt earned special awards for her contributions to the sport industry, including the Flagler College Distinguish Student Award for Sport Management and Buddy Pelletier Sportsman Award for the East Coast Surfing Championships. With a passion for the outdoors, Britt enjoys playing tennis, jogging, sailing, and heading to the east coast to catch some waves. Britt currently lives in Lakeland, Fla. |
